FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WINTER 2010-11 COLLECTION
MEDIA CONTACT: NINA GRANBERRY
With the unexpected passing of my dear friend Joseph Jefferson, HIV/AIDS activist, rightfully our Winter 2010-11 Collection will be one that continues the work of Mr. Jefferson. This collection has 16 pieces. Each piece, will be displayed along with thought provoking quotes and/or comments that reiterate the importance of HIV/AIDS awareness & respect for all of the diverse people affected by it.
The colors of the collection consist of Red, Black, White, Grey & Blue. I choose the color Grey as a to symbolize the confusion that still haunts people world wide about the disease and Blue for the sorrow in my heart due to the loss of a close friend and valuable activist within the HIV/AIDS community.
At this time we would like to announce that, Ms. Lolisa Gibson, HIV/AIDS educator, will receive 50% of the proceeds from collector’s items 1-5, to help her continue to travel the world and educate people from all walks of life about HIV/AIDS. We would like to have your help collecting quotes or comments that will help us send a message of urgency to anyone who looks at our site, so that from this day forward everyone will remember 1 December as W.A.D.(World Aids Day).
Quotes or comments of no more 200 characters, Please spread the word that entries must be submit their entry by 19th November at 5pm EST & all submissions must be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. All quotes that are selected will be displayed on our site with the launch of our W.A.D. Winter 2011 Collection. If your quote is selected you will be notified by a email. This is a volunteer opportunity so all submissions will become property of Distinguished Cravat Winter 2010-11 W.A.D. Collection.
Know just as this is our first project it is not our last, At “CRAVAT,” is our commitment at to expand fashion, art & philanthropy, as we use the runway as our platform we will teach, impact & elevate the minds of future generations, and this starts with the our Winter 2010 Collection properly titled W.A.D.
